Student Social Dance Tests Information

STUDENT SOCIAL DANCE TESTS

This CDF program is for the recreational dancer who dances to enjoy the socialization, exercise and  fun of a class.

EVALUATION FORMAT

Couples dancing for fun and recreation are comfortable when they are not solo in front of an examiner. This format puts a number of couples on the dance floor, all dancing at the same time. Each dance will be 60 to 90 seconds in length.

WHAT IS REQUIRED

  • No specific level of dancing is required.
  • There are no required figures.
  • The session must include four (4) dances of the teachers choice.
  • Unlike the Medal Program, the four (4)  dances can be a mix of American Style, International Style and Argentine Tango.  For instance it could include an Argentine Tango Dance, an International Style Waltz, an American Style Rumba and an International Style Cha Cha Cha.

TEST RESULTS

The testing only uses an evaluation of "COMMENDED" which would be equivalent to anything above a 75 % proficiency. The student receives a certificate of participation provided by CDF.
